So I know it has been months, but I am finally posting some new pics. Life is crazy, but I love it. I love my little girl so much...I feel so blessed. We are in a difficult phase, full of temper tantrums, NO, hitting, and lots of attitude. It is as much a learning process for her as it is for me. I never thought being a parent would make me a student. I am learning patience, grace and loving life in good times and bad.

I know it has been forever since my last post. Life is crazy. Having a 14 month old makes for some interesting days. We have 4 molars coming in at one time!!!! FOr those of you who have been there done that, you know what that can mean. SHe is so much fun and has such a personality. We have started the laying on the floor tantrums, and honestly, it makes me laugh. SHe is so dramatic about it. I have to walk away: one, to make sure she doesn't see me laughing, and two, for not wanting to reinforce the attention thing. I will try to get an action picture of that.
This little girl means so much to me and I am blessed for all of the good days and bad. Her name is such a picture of what she is to me...God's grace. WHat an amazing gift that is!

Ok, so today has just been one of "those days". I don't feel very good...I'm getting a cold. I took these pics and I thought they definitely show her little personality, especially the open mouth, trying to eat the camera picture.
I have to say this. I was trying to put her down 15 minutes early so that I could take a bath. She was squirming and trying to get down and play and needless to say, I was getting frustrated. So I picked her up, again, and tried to get her to drink her milk. She looked up at me and stuck her tongue out. Then we both started to laugh. It was one of those precious moments that just melt your heart. I was frustrated and in one second, my precious daughter melted by heart. She is such a blessing and I am so grateful to have her little "antics" to make me smile. I love this little girl.

So here are some pictures from Avery Grace's first birthday. I made her the tutu to wear and I thought she looked adorable. We had so much fun with her. SHe loved the boas in the chandelier. She kept wanting to play with them. This past year has been such a learning experience for me and I look foward to all the experiences to come...well, not all of them. We are getting closer to two...Yikes!

I look back at these pics in amazment. A year ago today, I was just getting to know my precious little girl. I had just learned the color of her eyes (blue) and her hair (then brown). I saw the ten little fingers and ten little toes and witnessed firsthand the miracle the God had given me. It wasn't until that day that I learned how much you could love someone you just met. What a gift God gives us...
I also can't post without re-telling the day of her birth...or days. I went into Baptist Tuesday night, Jan 22, at 8:00 to be induced. When I got there, I was already in labor, but nothing was dialating. I was so excited that Avery Grace was about to be here! HA! SO induction started. 12 hours later, I was 50% effaced and dialated to a ONE! They started the pitocin and immediately the pains got WAY WORSE. I ended up with an epidural by 12:30pm. Can I add that those were the best things ever invented!
So, we waited and waited. I wanted her to be born on 1-23, for two reasons: one, two three is a "cool" day, AND we have lots more birthdays really close and I wanted her to have her own day. Well, 29 hours later I was at a 10 and started to push. Then after a total of 30 hours my baby was born. On THursday, Jan 24...my dad's birthday. Now, I don't care about the day of the year. I'm just so thankful that she is here. She was definitely worth the wait and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I love my precious baby girl...I can't wait for all the years to come...I just wish they went slower (sometimes).

Ok, so I have a new craft...picture frames. I thought this would be a cute Christmas gift, so I have done quite a few of these for family, hence the Carbonaro frame. Anyway. I love to paint and this is such a fun thing to do. Plus, it is something that I can actually get done during nap time. Woo Hoo!

SO, we haven't gotten a christmas picture taken yet, but I have a few pics of my sweet little girl. These pics show you how the majority of my day goes...action packed and really messy. I used to be a bit of a neat freak, but I have had to let that one go. Now you'd never know by the look of my house. It is messy most days, but that little girl can make even the biggest mess worth it. She is a lot of work, but I wouldn't have it any other way...

Ok, so I haven't updated in forever, I know. Here are a few pics for ya. Some are from Halloween, but I love the sleeping pictures. She is actually sleeping in our bed. The little fat thighs (I know little and fat don't usually go together)...are so precious!!! I feel like I don't have a "baby" anymore, I have a little girl. THey grow so fast. I feel like my mom saying that, but it is so true. I cherish the moments I have with my beautiful daughter and I am so blessed to have been given such a wonderful gift.

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Mayflower yesterday with our next door neighbors and their kiddos. We had so much fun! We hope to make this an annual event!!!

9 months

Today is Avery Grace's nine month birthday! We had a doctor appointment and she is 31 inches long and 20lbs 13 ounces. He said that her motor skills are very good and a little ahead of average (that makes me so proud!).
She is now eating solid foods (cherrios, yogurt, etc...) and pulls up on everything! I can't believe she will be a year old in just 3 months. Unbelievable!

Ok, so no pics on this post. The last few days have been BRUTAL! I got the stomach bug, severe version, on Thursday morning. Yikes. Then it spread to Avery Grace and Clay. So after a day on the bathroom floor I had to care for my family and fight a migrane at the same time. A whopper of a two days! And how does something so putrid and foul come from something so sweet as my Avery Grace? That was a wild ride!!!! Needless to say, 5 days later I finally feel normal again. I'm surrounded by the smell of Lysol (my house is some kind of clean now), and I hope be able to sleep at least most of the night tonight. We'll see...

Ok, so the Johnny Jump Up is the BEST THING EVER!!! She will literally entertain herself for an hour jumping. She loves this more than anything else. This is the best gift ever from her Pops and Nonnie. If you have a kiddo that likes movement (you who have these kids totally know what I'm saying)...get one of these, TODAY! It is fantastic!!!

She is now "cruising" and into everything. I am already missing the time of just sitting and holding her...even though she is so much fun now! I love seeing her little personality develop. Thought I would add a few of AGF's new pictures. Again, Kelly did the pictures and I only wish my little dumpling had been more cooperative. She was in rare form that morning, and refused to smile after about 15 minutes. Kelly still got some really great shots...I love the one looking down on her in the tutu. What an awesome picture!!! Looks like something in a magazine!
It is hard for me to believe that she is already 7 months old. This has been the best 7 months I have ever had, but the hardest too. I wouldn't trade this time for anything. I am so blessed that I am able to stay home with her and watch her change and grow everyday! The Lord is good isn't He?

This look is so funny to me. She has that goofy grin on her face. Her personality is really coming out and I'm so glad that I get to spend so much time with her. She is turning out to be quite the talker!
You can't tell, but she was talking in this picture. Note the hands. They are always moving, grabbing at something, putting something in her mouth, pulling on my jewelry...I'm sorry to say, I can't wear my big gaudy jewelry for now, so sad. A simple sacrifice I'm glad to make.

Some of you have been asking for pics of my new projects. The socks are a cute little thing for those precious little girls. If anyone wants any, I am making them for $8 a pair. I have all colors of ribbon, including zebra print and leopard print. The crosses are another fun project. The big ones are $40 and the little one (zebra) are $30. I can do any color ribbon on them. Just thought I'd post this for those of you that were asking...
